Yogesh Patel, an Indian politician and Gujarat MLA since 2012, died on June 2, 2026, at the age of 79.
Known in the assembly as Yogeshbhai Narayandas Patel, he represented the Bharatiya Janata Party and was elected three times from the Manjalpur constituency in Vadodara district. He first won the seat in 2012, retained it in 2017, and returned again in the 2022 Gujarat Legislative Assembly election, where he defeated the Indian National Congress candidate Tashveen Singh.
Patel was from Manjalpur and studied at Sharda Mandir High School before completing a one-year diploma in civil and mechanical engineering at M.S. University, Vadodara, in 1966.
