Ken Cole, an Australian basketball coach and player, died on March 15, 2026, aged 82.

Born Kenneth Frank Cole in Sydney on October 15, 1943, he represented Australia in the men’s basketball tournament at the 1964 Summer Olympics. He later coached in the National Basketball League with the West Adelaide Bearcats, Adelaide 36ers, Sydney Supersonics and Newcastle Falcons.

With the 36ers, he won an NBL championship and was named Coach of the Year in 1986.

Kenneth Frank Cole (15 October 1943 – 15 March 2026) was an Australian professional basketball coach and player. He represented the Australian national team as a player at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Cole was a head coach in the National Basketball League (NBL) for the West Adelaide Bearcats, Adelaide 36ers, Sydney Supersonics and Newcastle Falcons. He won an NBL championship and was selected as the NBL Coach of the Year with the 36ers in 1986.
