Adamyan, an Armenian cardiologist, died on February 28, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on January 19, 1937, in Leninakan, Armenian SSR, USSR, he graduated from Yerevan State Medical Institute in 1959.
He later served as a postgraduate student at the Institute of Cardiology and Heart Surgery of the Ministry of Health of the ASSR from 1962 to 1965, and then worked there. Adamyan became a Doctor of Medical Sciences in 1971, a Professor in 1985, and an Academician of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences in 1996. In 2009, he was named Honoured Science Worker of Armenia.
Karlen Grigori Adamyan (Armenian: Կառլեն Գրիգորի Ադամյան; 19 January 1937 – 28 February 2026) was an Armenian cardiologist who was a Doctor of Medical Sciences (1971), Professor (1985), and Academician of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences (1996).
