John Resman American politician dead at age 70

John Resman, an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives for the 121st district from 2017 to 2026, died March 2, 2026, in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 70.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, on April 4, 1955, he attended high school and college in New Jersey before joining the United States Army in 1976. During his military service, he was stationed at the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, as a military policeman and corrections specialist.

After active duty, he worked as a correctional officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the U.S. Penitentiary in Leavenworth and later spent 28 years with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, retiring as a captain in 2010.

John Resman (April 4, 1955 – March 2, 2026) was an American politician. He served as a Republican member for the 121st district in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2017 to 2026.
