Jeffery Lee, an American convicted murderer who was executed by lethal injection, died on September 17, 2026, at age 49.
Born Jeffery James Lee in Alabama, he was also known as Jeffrey Lee. Lee was sentenced to death in Alabama after being found guilty in the 1998 killings of American singer Jimmy Ellis and Elaine Thompson during a pawn shop robbery, and of shooting Helen King in the same attack.
Although jurors voted 7–5 for life without parole in his 2000 murder trial, the judge imposed a death sentence through judicial override, a practice later abolished in Alabama.
