Jan Brzeźny, the Polish Olympic cyclist who competed at the 1976 Summer Games, died on June 11, 2026, aged 75.

Born in Oleszna on June 11, 1951, he represented Poland in the individual road race in Montreal, where he finished 30th. Brzeźny went on to win the Tour of Britain in 1978 and the Tour de Pologne in both 1978 and 1981, after placing second in that race in 1976.

He also received the Silver Cross of Merit.
