Giuseppe Albertini, an Italian politician and former mayor of Cento and member of the Chamber of Deputies, died on March 1, 2026.
Born in Cento on March 29, 1952, he worked as a civil servant before entering national politics through the Italian Socialist Party. He served as mayor of Cento from 1978 to 1989 and later was undersecretary of state for transport and navigation in the Prodi I Cabinet.
After the dissolution of the Italian Socialist Party, he remained active in successor organisations, including the Italian Democratic Socialists, and later rejoined the reconstituted party.
