Gary Walker, an American musician and drummer and vocalist with The Standells and The Walker Brothers, died on March 1, 2026, at age 83.
Born Gary Leeds on March 9, 1942, in Glendale, California, he began his professional career in 1962 when he was recruited to join The Standells, touring with the group until 1964. He also toured with P.
J. Proby that year before joining The Walker Brothers and taking the stage name Gary Walker. He was credited with helping bring the group to the UK in 1965.
