George Fisher, an American college basketball coach and athletic administrator at Austin Peay State University, died on December 20, 2014, aged 90.
A native of Greenbrier, Tennessee, he attended Austin Peay, where he played baseball, basketball and football before later returning to his alma mater as head basketball coach in 1962. Fisher guided the program into Division I status and coached the first African-American player in school history.
After his coaching career, he served as athletic director at Austin Peay until 1977.
