Erich Arndt German table tennis player dead at age 87

Erich Arndt, a German table tennis player, died on April 24, 2026, at the age of 87.

He was an international table tennis player from Germany and won a bronze medal at the 1963 World Table Tennis Championships in the Swaythling Cup, the men’s team event, alongside Ernst Gomolla, Dieter Michalek, Eberhard Schöler and Elmar Stegmann. Arndt also won two medals at the European Table Tennis Championships.
