Włodzimierz Korohoda public figure dead at age 89

Włodzimierz Korohoda

Włodzimierz Korohoda, a Polish cell biologist and swimmer, died on April 24, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born on January 1, 1937, in Kraków, he attended Bartłomiej Nowodoworski High School in Kraków. From 1948, he competed in swimming for Cracovia Sports Club, and from 1951 he represented Kraków, holding the Polish junior and youth champion and record in all breaststroke distances.

He was the son of Jerzy Korohoda and the father of Jacek Korohoda.
