Eddy Pratomo, an Indonesian diplomat and law scholar, died on April 29, 2026, at the age of 72.
Born in Semarang, Central Java, on October 5, 1953, he was a career diplomat whose service in the foreign ministry spanned three decades. He served as Indonesia’s ambassador to Germany from 2009 to 2013 and later as President Joko Widodo’s special envoy for Indonesian–Malaysian maritime delimitation from 2015 to 2018.
A graduate of the 17 August University, Pratomo died in Tangerang, West Java.
