
Driss Guiga, a Tunisian politician, died on April 19, 2026, at the age of 101.
He served as Minister of Health, Minister of Education and later as Minister of the Interior for four years during the later part of the Habib Bourguiba regime. Born in Testour, Tunisia, on October 21, 1924, he joined the national movement at age 14 and studied law and history at the University of Algiers before earning a diploma in civil law at the Law Faculty of Paris in 1949.
He later practiced law in Tunis and wrote for the journal Mission.
