Fisher, an American businesswoman and co-founder of Gap Inc., died on May 2, 2026, at age 94. Born Doris Lee Feigenbaum on August 23, 1931, in San Francisco, California, she co-founded The Gap with her husband, Donald Fisher, in 1969.

The company grew into a major clothing retailer with thousands of stores worldwide. Fisher served as the company’s merchandiser until 2003 and remained on the board until 2009.
