Clément Oubrerie, a French comics artist and illustrator best known for Aya de Yopougon, died on March 1, 2026, at the age of 59.
Born in Paris on December 23, 1966, he studied fine arts in Grenoble and spent two years in the United States after his studies. During that period, he published his first children’s books.
After returning to France, he illustrated many books, including the award-winning Les Mille mots de l’info, published by Gallimard. In 2005, Gallimard published the first volume of Aya de Yopougon.
