Christopher North, the American keyboardist who was the founding keyboardist of the band Ambrosia, died on March 30, 2026, at age 75.
Born Christopher Reed North in San Francisco on January 26, 1951, he grew up in San Pedro, California, and played in several bands during junior high and high school. He later formed Blue Toad Flax in 1968 and co-founded Ambrosia in 1970 with David Pack, Joe Puerta and Burleigh Drummond.
North was active as a musician from 1964 to 2026 and played Hammond organ, keyboards, synthesizers and glockenspiel.
