Dwight “Bo” Lamar, an American basketball player, died on February 16, 2026, at age 74.
Born April 7, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, he was raised there and attended East High School before playing at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Lamar was a two-time consensus All-American, led the NCAA in scoring in the 1971-72 season, and averaged 31.2 points over his college career.
He was selected No. 1 overall in the 1973 American Basketball Association Draft.
