William James Gilbert Allen, a Canadian politician and Saskatchewan MLA from 1975 to 1982, died on January 25, 2026.
Known as Bill Allen, he represented Regina Rosemont in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a New Democratic Party member. Born in Regina on August 12, 1946, he was educated there, at St.
Peter’s College and at the University of Saskatchewan. He was defeated by Gordon Dirks when he sought reelection to the assembly in 1982.
