Anbar Said, a Kuwaiti footballer who played as a forward, died on August 2, 2026, aged 67, after a traffic collision.

Born in Iraq in 1959, Said joined Al-Arabi in 1972 and made his first-team debut in 1978 under Scottish manager Dave Mackay. He went on to spend much of his career with the club, making 305 appearances and scoring 132 goals, and helped Al-Arabi win eight Kuwaiti Premier League titles, three Emir Cups, two Joint League titles and the GCC Club Championship in 1982.

He later had a brief spell with Ahli Sidab Club in Oman during the Gulf War.
