Valerie Perrine, an American actress, died on March 23, 2026, from complications of Parkinson’s disease.

She was best known for portraying Honey Bruce in the 1974 film Lenny, a role that brought her the BAFTA Award for Most Promising Newcomer to Leading Film Roles, the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival, and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Perrine also appeared in Slaughterhouse-Five, Superman, The Electric Horseman, and Superman II.

Born on September 3, 1943, in Galveston, Texas, she worked as an actress from 1971 to 2016.
