Rino Marchesi Italian footballer dead at age 88

Rino Marchesi, an Italian footballer and manager, died on March 1, 2026.

Born on June 11, 1937, he played as a midfielder and was from San Giuliano Milanese. He began his career with Fanfulla in 1955 and went on to play for five Italian club sides, spending most of his time with Atalanta, Fiorentina and Lazio, where he won several titles.

Marchesi ended his playing career after two seasons with Prato in 1973. While with Fiorentina, he made two appearances for Italy and made his international debut in a 4–1 victory over Argentina on June 15, 1961.

Rino Marchesi (11 June 1937 – 1 March 2026) was an Italian footballer and manager who played as a midfielder.
