Moulana Abdullah Tari, an Indian Islamic scholar and political activist, died on March 8, 2026, following a prolonged illness.
He was an official of the separatist Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party and served as the party’s Acting Chairman during the imprisonment of its chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah. Tari was also a member of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
He was 86.
