He was a member of the Christian Social People’s Party and served as President of the Chamber of Deputies from August 3, 2004, to June 7, 2009. First elected to the Chamber in the 1984 election, he represented the Nord circonscription.
Weiler also sat on the communal council of Diekirch from 1986 to 1993, including service as an échevin from 1988 to 1993.
