
László Fazekas, Hungarian football player and coach, died on May 6, 2026, at the age of 78.
Born on 15 October 1947, he played the third most international games for the Hungary national team and represented his country at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Fazekas also played in the 1978 and 1982 World Cups.
In the 1982 tournament, he scored two long-range goals in Hungary’s 10–1 win over El Salvador at Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero.
