Jonathan Tiersten, an American actor known for Sleepaway Camp, died on May 5, 2026, at age 60.
Tiersten portrayed Ricky Thomas in the 1983 cult film Sleepaway Camp and later reprised the role in the 2008 sequel Return to Sleepaway Camp. He also worked in music, fronting several bands, mainly in the Fort Collins, Colorado area, and served as the lead singer of Ten Tiers.
In addition, he composed the score for a short film starring David Krumholtz and acted in The Perfect House, for which he won three best actor awards and received a fourth nomination.
