Jimmy Mann, the English footballer who played for Bristol City, Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers, died on May 15, 2026.
He was 73. Born James Arthur Mann in Goole, Yorkshire, in 1952, he began his career at Leeds United before joining Bristol City in 1974.
A midfielder, he made more than 230 Football League appearances, and was part of the Bristol City side promoted to the First Division under Alan Dicks in 1976. He also scored a long-range goal against Nottingham Forest in 1979. Mann later had brief spells at Barnsley, Scunthorpe United and Doncaster Rovers before moving into non-league football.
