Brian Lindstrom, an American documentary filmmaker, died on May 15, 2026, at age 65.

He was associated with documentaries on addiction, incarceration, mental illness and police brutality. His films included Lost Angel: The Genius of Judee Sill, which premiered at DOCNYC and was named Documentary of the Year by the Docnroll Film Festival, and I Am Not Untouchable.

I Just Have My Period, made with his wife Cheryl Strayed for The New York Times in 2019. Lindstrom was born in Portland, Oregon, on February 12, 1961.
