Angelica Domröse, the German actress known for Love’s Confusion, The Adventures of Werner Holt and The Legend of Paul and Paula, died on May 15, 2026, at the age of 85.
Born in Berlin on April 4, 1941, she was discovered in 1958 by director Slatan Dudow during a casting for Love’s Confusion. She later attended the film university Potsdam-Babelsberg in 1961 and joined the Berliner Ensemble in 1966.
Domröse subsequently worked with the Volksbühne Berlin until 1979 and also appeared in productions for the DEFA film studio and Deutscher Fernsehfunk.
