
Jean-Pierre Escalettes, the French football administrator who served as president of the French Football Federation from 2005 to 2010, died on April 14, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born Jean Pierre Edmond Escalettes on May 29, 1935, he won the federation presidency with 92.56% of the vote and announced his resignation in June 2010, effective July 2. Before leading the federation, he had been a French former footballer and administrator.
Jean Pierre Edmond Escalettes (29 May 1935 – 14 April 2026), known as Jean-Pierre Escalettes, was a French former footballer and administrator who was the president of the French Football Federation having served in the role from 12 February 2005 to 2 July 2010. He was awarded the presidency after winning the ball with 92.56% of the vote. On 28 June 2010, Escalettes announced his resignation from his position effective 2 July. He died on 14 April 2026, at the age of 90.
