
James William McKinnon Manclark, a British luger who competed at the 1968 Winter Olympics, died on February 10, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born in Peebles, Scotland, on December 3, 1939, he took up luge after discovering the sport while on holiday in Switzerland. Manclark competed in the men’s singles event at the Grenoble Games and later also competed in bobsleigh and elephant polo.
He worked as a farmer and died in Haddington, Scotland.
