Jacopo Camagni, an Italian illustrator and comics artist, died on March 2, 2026.
He was born in Bologna on December 21, 1977, and began working in the comic book industry in Italy in 1998 as an artist on Lupin III Millennium, an official project of the Lupin the Third franchise in collaboration with its creator, Monkey Punch. He later gained international notice after winning Marvel Comics’ ChesterQuest talent search at the 2008 New York Comic Con.
He began working for Marvel in 2009 and contributed to titles including Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe, Deadpool, Hawkeye and Generation X-23.
