Indio Solari, the Argentine musician and singer known for leading Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, died on June 5, 2026, at age 77.
Born Carlos Alberto Solari on January 17, 1949, in Paraná, Entre Ríos Province, he became one of the most prominent figures in Argentine rock. Solari began his career in the 1970s and remained the front man of Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota from 1976 until the band split in 2001.
He was also identified with the names Carlos Alberto Solari and Indio Solari, and his work spanned music, songwriting, production and composition.
