Harry Keyishian, an American editor and academic, died on April 4, 2026, at the age of 93.
He was Professor Emeritus of English at Fairleigh Dickinson University and served on the university press’s editorial board. Keyishian directed Fairleigh Dickinson University Press from 1977 to 2017 and worked extensively on William Shakespeare and Armenian literature.
Born in The Bronx and raised in Queens, he attended Queens College and later entered graduate school at New York University. As an undergraduate in 1952, he joined a committee that protested the Feinberg Law of New York State, a challenge that later became the basis of a Supreme Court case.
