Ginger Molloy, a New Zealand motorcycle racer, died on September 17, 2026, aged 88.
Born in Gisborne on December 25, 1937, he became a Grand Prix road racer who competed in the world championship from 1965 to 1970. Racing a Bultaco, he won the 1966 250cc Ulster Grand Prix, his only world championship victory, and later delivered his best season in 1970 when he finished second in the 500cc championship aboard a Kawasaki H1R behind Giacomo Agostini.
