Evelyn Cox, an American country and bluegrass singer and musician with The Cox Family, died on May 5, 2026.

She was 66. The Cox Family was an American country and bluegrass music group from Cotton Valley in Webster Parish in northwestern Louisiana.

The group was heard on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. Its 1994 collaboration with Alison Krauss, I Know Who Holds Tomorrow, won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album.
