
Donald Gibb, an American actor known for Revenge of the Nerds, Bloodsport and 1st & Ten, died on May 12, 2026, at age 71.
Gibb, whose full name was Donald Richard Gibb, was born in New York City and was raised in California. He attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, studied at the University of New Mexico on a basketball scholarship, later transferred to the University of San Diego on a football scholarship, and briefly played for the San Diego Chargers before turning to acting after an automobile accident ended his football career.
He also appeared in small roles in Stripes and Conan the Barbarian and received notice for a role in Lost in America.
Donald Richard Gibb (August 4, 1954 – May 12, 2026) was an American actor, best known for his roles as the hulking, dimwitted fraternity brother Frederick “Ogre” Palowaski in several installments of the Revenge of the Nerds film series, as Kumite fighter Ray Jackson in Bloodsport, and as Leslie “Dr. Death” Krunchner on the HBO sitcom 1st & Ten.
