Dionysis Tsamis public figure dead at age 74

Dionysis Tsamis, a Greek former professional footballer and manager, died on May 1, 2026, at the age of 74.

Tsamis played as a midfielder and began his career in 1967 with the youth team of Panetolikos. He later moved into the men’s squad preparation under manager Sotiris Karpodinis and made his official debut on November 8, 1972, in the second leg of the UEFA Cup against Liverpool, his only appearance that season.

Tsamis was also associated with AEK Athens and the Greek national team.
