Diane Carlson Evans, an American army nurse, died on May 20, 2026, at the age of 79.
She served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later founded the Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation, which established the Vietnam Women’s Memorial at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
