Derek Bellotti, the English professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper, died on March 9, 2026.
Born on December 25, 1946, he began his career as an apprentice with Queens Park Rangers in September 1963 and later turned professional. After two seasons on loan to Bedford Town, he was released by QPR without making a first-team debut.
Bellotti joined Gillingham in July 1966 and made 35 league appearances for the club. He later had a loan spell at Southend United in October 1970 before moving to Charlton Athletic for £5,000, and returned to Southend United on a permanent basis in December 1971.
