David Winnick British politician, MP dead at age 92

David Winnick, the British Labour Party politician who served as a Member of Parliament from 1966 to 1970 and from 1979 to 2017, died on March 25, 2026, aged 92.

Born in Brighton on 26 June 1933, he served 42 years in the Commons, including as MP for Croydon South and later for Walsall North. Before entering Parliament, he was an advertising manager, a branch chairman of the Clerical and Administrative Workers Union, and a councillor from 1959 on Willesden Borough Council and later on the London Borough of Brent.

David Julian Winnick (26 June 1933 – 25 March 2026) was a British Labour Party politician who served 42 years as a Member of Parliament (MP), for Walsall North between 1979 and 2017, he was also the MP for Croydon South from 1966 to 1970.
