Born Claudine Georgette Longet in Paris on January 29, 1942, she was active from 1963 to 1975 and was known as a vocalist and actress associated with pop, bossa nova, French pop, standards and soft rock. She was married to American singer and television entertainer Andy Williams from 1961 until 1975.
From 1977, she maintained a private profile following her conviction for negligent homicide in connection with the shooting death of her boyfriend, former Olympic skier Spider Sabich.
