Chikadibia Isaac Obiakor, a Nigerian army general and United Nations force commander, died on May 27, 2026.
Born on February 18, 1951, he was a retired Nigerian army lieutenant general who served as Military Adviser and Assistant Secretary-General in the Office of Military Affairs at the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations in New York until 2010. He also previously served as Force Commander of the United Nations Mission in Liberia.
Obiakor retired officially from the Nigerian Army in 2011.
