Bruno Musarò, the Italian Roman Catholic prelate who served as apostolic nuncio to Panama, Guatemala and Costa Rica, died on September 26, 2026, aged 78.
Born in Andrano on June 27, 1948, he was ordained to the priesthood in 1971 and later trained at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy. He entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See in 1977 and went on to represent the Vatican in several postings before being named apostolic nuncio to Panama in 1994, Guatemala in 2004 and Costa Rica in 2019.
He remained in the Holy See’s diplomatic service until 2023.
