Božo Koprivica Serbian essayist, dramatic adviser and literary critic dead at age 75

Božo Koprivica, a Serbian essayist, dramatic adviser and literary critic, died on March 20, 2026.

Born in 1950 in Nikšić, then in PR Montenegro, FPR Yugoslavia, he was a Montenegrin writer of Yugoslavian ethnicity who lived and worked in Belgrade. He was best known for the books “Volej i sluh” (1992) and “Kiš, Borhes i Maradona” (1996), which reached cult status.

Koprivica was a friend of the Yugoslav novelist and short story writer Danilo Kiš. He was 75.

Božo Koprivica (Serbian Cyrillic: Божо Копривица; 1950 – 20 March 2026) was a Montenegrin essayist, dramatic adviser and literary critic from Montenegro, of Yugoslavian ethnicity.
