Daphne Selfe, a British model, died on March 20, 2026.
From Edmonton, London, she worked for more than 70 years and was recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest professional model. Selfe continued working into her 90s and, at the age of 96, was still modelling.
Her career included work with brands such as Dolce & Gabbana and appearances on the covers of Vogue and Marie Claire. She also worked with photographers including Mario Testino, Nick Knight and David Bailey, and was represented by the Models 1 agency.
