Born in Accra, she was also known as Bernice Offei and worked as a musician, banker and songwriter. Ofei was recognized as an award-winning gospel artist in Ghana and won Best Female Vocal Performance and Songwriter of the Year at the 2009 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Additional reports said she had released six albums, including her 2007 recording Life, which also brought her two awards at the 10th edition of the MTN Ghana Music Awards. She was educated at Achimota School and the University of Ghana and worked with Standard Chartered Bank.
