Antonius Agus Sriyono, an Indonesian diplomat who served as ambassador to New Zealand from 2010 to 2013 and to the Holy See from 2016 to 2020, died on June 4, 2026.
He was 69. Born on May 17, 1957, in Magelang, Central Java, Sriyono also served from 2013 to 2016 as deputy for foreign policy coordination in the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs.
He studied international relations at Gadjah Mada University after completing high school in 1975, and later contributed articles to media outlets while pursuing his diplomatic career.
