Born Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas on December 30, 1969, he was widely known as Alla Nani and served in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Eluru. He represented the constituency as a member of the Indian National Congress from 2004 to 2013, later joined the YSR Congress Party in 2013, and returned to the assembly in 2019.
He also held a seat in the Legislative Council in 2017 and resigned from the YSRCP in August 2024, announcing his exit from politics.
