
Algis Jurgis Kundrotas, a Lithuanian physicist, died on May 6, 2026, at age 75.
He was also a habilitated doctor of physical sciences, university professor and independent researcher. Born on July 15, 1950, in Užšustis in the Šilutė district of the Lithuanian SSR, he studied at Vilnius Pedagogical Institute from 1968 to 1972, where he earned a diploma cum laude in physics.
He later studied at the Semiconductor Physics Institute in Vilnius from 1976 to 1979 and became a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences in 1981.
