
Wu Dexin, a Chinese materials scientist and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, died on March 23, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born in Laoting County, Hebei, on December 20, 1936, she graduated from the Department of Radio Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University in 1961 and was then assigned to the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She later transferred in 1986 to the academy’s Microelectronics Center, now the Institute of Microelectronics.
Wu specialized in semiconductors and integrated circuits and was also a delegate to the Ninth Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.
Wu Dexin (20 December 1936 – 23 March 2026) was a Chinese scientist who specialised in semiconductor and integrated circuit. She was an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
